GASTONIA - Mr. Harry Gene Shope, 47, of 103 Packard St., died Nov. 14, 1991, at House of Mercy in Belmont. Funeral is 2 p.m. Sunday at Sisk-Butler Funeral Home in Bessemer City, with the Rev. Roy Clark and Father Nicholas Gibilisco officiating. Burial is in Bessemer City Memorial Cemetery. Visitation is 7 to 9 tonight.
Pallbearers are Steve Griggs. Mike Gill, Doug Drum, Randy Price, Scott Allen and Charles Shope.
Mr. Shope, a roofer, was born in Gaston County, son of the late Charles Shope.
Survivors are his sons, Howard Shope of Bessemer City, Christopher Shope of South Hill, Va.; daughters, Ms. Donna Shope of Alabama, Miss Michelle Shope of South Hill; mother. Mrs. Lucille Shope of Robinsville: brothers, Gary Shope of Bessemer City, Larry Shope of Murphy. Cecil Shope of San Antonio, Lloyd Shope: sisters, Mrs. Mary Allen, Mrs. Margaret Waldrup, both of Robinsville; two grandchildren.
